Legal Compliance Officer

Role Purpose

Ensure O Finance operates in full compliance with Banque du Liban (BDL), Banking Control Commission (BCC), AML/CFT regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with BDL circulars, BCC regulations, and Lebanese code of money
2. Maintain and update internal policies (AML, KYC, CDD, sanctions, governance)
3. Oversee regulatory reporting and regulatory correspondence (FATF & CRS)
4. Support internal audit, external audit, and BCC inspections
5. Review contracts, SLAs, partnerships, and legal documentation
6. Manage legal compliance risk assessments and remediation plans
7. Ensure data protection and customer confidentiality standards
    

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law
• 5+ years of experience in a financial institution, bank, or regulated entity
• Strong knowledge of BDL regulations, AML/CFT, and compliance frameworks
• High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CAMS or compliance certification is a strong plus
